August 29th: Community Chat #2

It’s been almost a month since our last Community Chat, and it’s time for a the second edition on August 29th at 16:00 UTC in the #core channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. If you don’t already have access to the group, you can request an invite here.

For this month Community Chat we’ll talk about our plans for WooCommerce 3.8, we have some feedback from last chat about UserVoice maintenance, also we wish to further discussing performance issues with the community and get feedback from your experience with Products and Orders flat tables, and talk about GraphQL support on core.

I would like to discuss if there is a plan to get all of the extensions sold by WooCommerce to be tested and have the “WC tested up to” plugin header line updated. There is an embarrassing number of extensions still not showing compatibility with WooCommerce 3.7.

  Sorry, but in this chat we discuss only about WooCommerce Core, but extension are being updated to include the new header.

any plans to support MariaDB 10.3+ temporal tables? thanks in advance for any insights.

  No plans to support it yet, since we rely on WordPress Core WPDB API, but it’s something that we can have a look.
