We are excited to announce the next step towards greater transparency and collaboration at WooCommerce – the launch of our new Public Roadmap! This platform is designed to give our developer community a view of our current projects, future plans, and the overall direction we’re headed.
Our mission has always been to empower developers with a high quality, scalable platform, and flexible, intuitive tools. But we understand that to truly make a difference, we need to make our processes as transparent as possible. The Public Roadmap is a testament to this commitment.
What Is The Public Roadmap?
The Public Roadmap is a living document detailing our plans for WooCommerce’s core platform and core products. It includes information about what we’re working on, what’s next in line, and what we’re considering for the future.
We’ve organized the roadmap into different categories: Ideation, Now, Next, and Later. This way, you can easily find the information you need and see where we’re focusing our efforts.
Projects in the “Ideation” phase are in the process of being planned, but no work has begun; “Now” is for projects that we’re currently working on; “Next” is for projects that we are committed to executing but haven’t started yet; and anything listed as “Later” is a project that we are scoping, and is likely happening but where work hasn’t been scheduled yet.
