WooCommerce 6.9.2 is available for download.
You can download the latest release of WooCommerce here or visit Dashboard → Updates to update the plugin from your WordPress admin screen.

Maybe the release schedule should be reduced…
Hi there, could you please elaborate what you mean? We’re currently on a monthly release cadence. Do you mean you would rather it being shorter than that?
I think he’s saying, don’t be so quick to release things just to have some monthly release cadence. He’d rather you guys focus on QA testing first so you don’t have these bugs with releases. I don’t remember the bug, but there have been a few rather major bugs with releases that have taken sites down.
What WooCommerce is to the people who use it, is their lifeblood, their source of income, etc. You guys push out releases without proper QA, and you take down 1000s of people’s sources of income in the blink of an eye. I’m not saying this particular set of bugs with this release were that bad, just saying there are always rapid patches in the works after a release, and if they’re found that quickly after a release, then why aren’t they found before the release?
I personally avoid updates like the plague. Never update to an X.X.0, always wait 1-2 weeks after X.X.0 for the bug patches.

Thanks for your comment. We do test extensively before our monthly releases. However there are times we don’t catch all the edge cases or cases we didn’t foresee. But when we do find an issue, we’re also quick to react with a solution and push out fix releases as soon as possible.

But there you’ve provided the answer. Nobody is forced to update to .0 the day after it comes out; everybody is free to wait a week to gain confidence in it. People who are content to be early testers can; people who aren’t, don’t have to.
That’s a stupid thing to say. People who are willing to be early testers install the betas and the RCs.
Personally, I think software will always be full of bugs, so I have no I’ll feelings for the woo devs for what is a natural part of software dev. I’m pretty sure they live and learn.
You all do a great job, but 2 quick fixes this fast after release, perhaps quaterly release would be better? I’ll find my way out now, I can’t even do what you do so I have no place complaining really 🙂
