The WooCommerce 9.7 stable tag update has been delayed due to an issue detected on an internal site during testing.
Hi, folks! We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to bring you the best possible updates to WooCommerce.
We have an important update regarding the release of WooCommerce 9.7.
Initially scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025, the WooCommerce 9.7 is technically available on WordPress.org without the stable tag. We’ve decided to postpone the stable tag update to Tuesday, February 25, 2025 with the goal of ensuring stability for the testing and fix process for our internal team and not introducing any further variables that could influence their fix.
Reason for delay
We have confirmed with our internal teams that WooCommerce is not the reason for the internal site issue, however, to make sure their sites are stable before introducing WooCommerce 9.7, we wanted to give them some time to test and deploy their fix before updating our stable tag.
What happens next?
We will check back in on the fix status on February 25, 2025 12pm UTC. As always, we’ll keep you informed of any developments through this blog.
Thank you
Your ongoing support and cooperation means the world to us. Thank you for being patient and understanding as we work towards delivering the WooCommerce 9.7 release.
