WooCommerce 10.0 Release is Delayed

Update July 8, 2025: The release date for WooCommerce 10.0 has been tentatively updated to Monday, July 14. Please check back on Monday for more information.

Hi, folks! We’re busy working on enhancing WooCommerce with the best updates possible.

We have an important update regarding the WooCommerce 10.0 release schedule.

Initially scheduled for Monday, July 7, 2025, we’ve are postponing the release of WooCommerce 10.0 to the tentative date of Monday, July 14, 2025.

Reason for delay

We ran into an issue in 10.0.0 where fatal errors were triggered by additional strict_types checking during callback functions on hooks that might be used outside of WooCommerce core.

What happens next?

We will check back in on July 14, 2025 12pm UTC and let you know the status of the release. As always, we’ll keep you informed of any developments through this blog.

Thank you

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to launch the WooCommerce 10.0 release.

  1. Hey guys. Love the updates. Please add acknowledgment for the cart/checkout “local pickup” option. We are seeing a high number of orders choosing it by accident. Thanks.

Hi Will, can you give me a little more detail in what you mean by ‘add acknowledgment’? What steps are your customers taking that they are choosing local pickup accidentally?

    Dear WooCommerce Team,

I’m reaching out to bring to your attention an issue related to the display of order details in the “Orders” section of the My Account page, particularly on mobile devices, in the current release of WooCommerce.

In the mobile view, the order number is not clearly visible, which creates a usability challenge, especially for stores like ours that rely heavily on order numbers for customer identification and support. The visibility of the order number is crucial not only for internal processing but also for improving the customer experience.

      Hi Niraj,

Thanks for bringing this up. Can you please write this up as an official issue and place it under Performance Improvement? Please attach your image with more context as well, eg. what do you mean by not clearly visible? Is there a contrast issue, pixelation, placement, etc?

Setting up Jetpack stack just to get order “notifications” via the mobile app is very frustrating. I hope Woo fixes this problem one day.

Yes, I’m with you on this one. I don’t get analytics or notifications because I don’t want to have Jetpack on my store. It stills bothers me that we need to rely on Jetpack for that, but I get it’s a tactic to force you to have Jetpack…

Thanks for the care in making the release as good as possible. wouldn’t it be better to wait until wp 6.8.2 is released on Tuesday July 15 to test the update to wc 10 together with it and release it later? Thanks in advance!

  6. We are currently using the WooCommerce mobile application and appreciate its functionality. However, we have noticed that receiving order notifications requires the Jetpack plugin to be installed. While we understand the integration benefits, Jetpack tends to significantly slow down our website performance.

We kindly request that you consider offering an alternative method for enabling push notifications in the WooCommerce mobile app without relying on Jetpack. This enhancement would greatly improve performance and usability for many users like us.

Thank you for your continued support and for considering this request.

  7. I think that we can have a better widget for mini cart, like the shopify. I already make this with a custom code and is similar to shopify, create a plugin to this. But i think this need to be default in all store.
