Why join?

This is your chance to share what you’re experimenting with and learn from others in the community. Whether you’re using AI assistants for code generation, leveraging MCP servers for store data, automating support workflows, or just curious about what’s possible—bring your questions, wins, and pain points.

Is there room for people like me, who work professionally with AI, and DO NOT want it anywhere near Woocommerce? And want to prevent you messing the system with AI like so many other providers?

If you want to let people vibe code some impossible-to-maintain code for themselves, great. But most will be incompetant. My prompt injection to get it to produce wordpress-compliant coding standards, before even setting the coding task, is 3 pages long. I guarrantee few do that.

But DO NOT force it on us. A non-deterministic language probability predictor is a stupid tool for real-world workflow. The very concept of an MCP shows lack of forethought. LLM’s can code simple stuff. But for anything more, look at the stats – it’s a disaster.

If you think I am just a luddite – Google Scholar me first.

    Respectfully terrified.

Thanks for the feedback. As of now, there are no mandatory AI features being added to WooCommerce. The WooCommerce MCP is in beta and is opt-in, not enabled by default.
