Let’s talk about Blocks

A few months ago, we announced the pilot program for Extensibility Monthly Chats in an effort to foster a collaborative environment for developers to discuss all things related to WooCommerce Blocks extensibility. These chats aimed to bring together like-minded individuals to share ideas, exchange knowledge, and provide valuable feedback to improve the WooCommerce Blocks ecosystem.

For those of you who might have missed it, you can find the original announcement here. At the end of the 3 scheduled sessions, we reconvened to assess the value of this synchronous meeting space and take a decision about how we might continue to foster these interactions.

What’s next?

First, we want to say thank you to all the participants who have been a part of the Extensibility Monthly Chats thus far. Your enthusiasm, insights, and dedication have been invaluable in shaping the future of WooCommerce Blocks.

After careful consideration and taking into account the feedback we received from the community, we have decided to transition from having monthly synchronous chats to moving the conversations to an asynchronous format in the #woocommerce-blocks-and-block-themes channel. If you would like to bring up a specific topic which you would rather discuss synchronously, we are always looking for suggestions on what to bring to the table during our monthly scheduled Developer Office Hours.

We invite you to join this dedicated space, which will serve as a central hub for all conversations around the WooCommerce Blocks ecosystem. Here, you will have the opportunity to engage in lively conversations, ask questions, engage with Automattic developers, and contribute your expertise on WooCommerce Blocks and Block Themes.

Join us on the #woocommerce-blocks-and-block-themes Slack channel to continue these exciting conversations. We’re excited to see you there!
