New: Public Release Calendar

We’re excited to announce a new resource for our developer community: a public WooCommerce Release Calendar!

What is the Release Calendar?

The WooCommerce Release Calendar is a centralized page where you can find up-to-date information about our release schedule. It’s designed to help you plan your development work and stay informed about upcoming WooCommerce updates.

You can find the calendar here: developer.woocommerce.com/release-calendar (bookmark it!)

What You’ll Find on the Release Calendar

  • Dates for upcoming releases
  • Beta release, Release Candidate (RC) and testing periods
  • Feature freeze dates
  • Information about our release cycle

Why We Created the Release Calendar

We understand how important it is for our community to plan ahead and stay informed about WooCommerce updates. This calendar aims to:

  1. Provide transparency about our release process
  2. Help you align your development schedules with WooCommerce releases
  3. Offer a single, reliable source for release information

How to Use the Release Calendar

We encourage you to bookmark the Release Calendar page and check it regularly. It’s particularly useful when:

  • Planning your development sprints
  • Scheduling extension or theme updates
  • Preparing for compatibility testing

The calendar will be kept up-to-date, reflecting any changes in our release schedule.

Feedback Welcome

As with everything we do, we value your input. If you have suggestions on how we can improve the Release Calendar, please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts.

We hope this new resource helps you in your WooCommerce development journey.

Sorry, but this is a classic case of how Automattic, WordPress and WooCommerce is getting more and more confusing with things which have NOT been thought through.

When we visit WooCommerce Release Calendar without being logged into Google, we see – Sign in to your Google Account You must sign in to access this content

When we log into Google and then visit WooCommerce Release Calendar we see – Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them.

    Sheesh! Just like various updates!

Hmm. I tested with multiple accounts and browsers and everything seemed okay.

Iโ€™ll doublecheck and weโ€™ll make it work for Everyone.

        Fixed!

  2. In FireFox my security settings stop the calendar from working. It asks me to accept cookies, but then I see “Can’t access your Google Account”. I am logged into my Google calendar in another tab.

In Chrome, I can see the calendar but with the warning “Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them.”

Why is does the browser security have to be so low? I’m using DuckDuckGo privacy in Firefox. It would be great if your release schedule is compatible with this common type of privacy tool.

Thanks! It should work now. Sorry about that.

  3. Same as above – can not see a darn thing. Using firefox with AdblockPlus.

Can’t access the calendar. It shows me the following error: [“Events from one or more calendars could not be displayed because you are not authorised to view them.”]

Are there reminders set up on these calendar events, I cannot tell if there are? If there are not can you set up reminders, e.g. one week and one dat beforehand, please
